"The Goal of Education according to traditional and modern views"

Call for papers
The issue of education is a vast and vitally important subject in our time. The contemporary world is adopting an ever-more modernized educational system, in sharp contrast to its preceding examples.
By having a look back at the traditional civilizations and modern age, one can notice a fundamental difference in standards, goals and methods between these two systems. The question arises as to what are their major differences and are there any ways of mutual constructive influence? Is it still meaningful, in a modern context, to say that education has any goal? If yes, what should this be?
This international conference on the goal of education in the traditional and modern environment tries to focus on the mentioned issues and to outline some necessary evaluations of possible improvements in this vital area, through careful reflection.
We invite the interested intellectuals and scholars of the field to apply and send their papers to the organizing committee, in the following e-mail address: kalame80 [at] yahoo.com
Papers should not exceed 8 A4 pages in standard 12 pt Times New Roman format. The accepted applicants will be informed of the participating details and trip arrangements. For all other inquiries please write to the above address.
